Aptitude Testing—What’s The Big Deal?

Aptitude Testing

Aptitude testing is a way to test a person’s ability and capability for a specific job. An aptitude test is not a pass or fail test but instead just a way to check which job is suitable for you. With the increasing popularity of aptitude testing, most companies now use aptitude testing as a criterion to judge your abilities.

Aptitude testing judges an individual’s critical thinking, problem solving, skills, talents and more. Aptitude tests can be used by employers to test their employees or simply to help someone who is confused with making future career decisions.

Aptitude tests include multiple parts. Typical aptitude tests offer four or more types of tests:

  • NUMERICAL REASONING: Demonstrates your ability to deal with numbers accurately under time constraints.
  • VERBAL REASONING: Demonstrates your comprehension and understanding skills under time constraints.
  • LOGICAL REASONING: Demonstrates your skill to draw a conclusion whilst having facts and figures to back up and prove your statement.
  • INDUCTIVE REASONING: Demonstrates your ability to draw a conclusion through observation.

Currently merafuture.pk offers these and many other types in our refined tried and tested aptitude test.

Now, why is aptitude testing important?

Aptitude tests are mostly online but can also be on paper depending on the situation. Questions are usually in the form of MCQ’s (Multiple Choice Questions) and on average you get about 60 seconds to answer each question. This means aptitude tests prove to be convenient and easy to take. Aptitude tests do not use a pass or fail method and are simply there to guide you and provide results. Such tests allow employers to learn how good your aptitude skills are in comparison to other candidates. Aptitude tests are showing growing popularity as they are quick and easy to understand.
