Let’s take a look at the structure of the CSS Exam!
Theoretical Exam
For the theory test, candidates must give 6 compulsory and optional papers each. For compulsory subjects, the minimum requirement to pass the exam is 40% while for optional papers it is 33%. You can go through the list of optional subjects available on the official website of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) and choose as per your background education. In the case of differently able candidates, they can acquire disability certificates in advance and can apply in four institutions including Commerce and Trade and Information Services, Pakistan Audit and Account, and Postal Service.
Psychological Test and Viva Voce
Followed by the medical test, candidates will undergo a psychological test. It is formulated to assess the applicant’s psychological aptitudes, abilities, and shortcomings. At the same time, candidates must have efficient communication skills and general knowledge to pass the viva voce.
